FSC® CERTIFICATION

What is the FSC® Organisation?

The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is an international, independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation, established in the early 1990s to support environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically sustainable forest management worldwide.

The goal of FSC® is to reconcile the world's forests with the ecological, social and economic rights and needs of the present generation, without compromising the rights and needs of future generations.

What is the FSC® Standard for Chain of Custody

It is a standard for sustainable forest management to protect forests, issued by FSC®. The requirements of the standard describe a management system that aims to effectively monitor raw materials at all stages of their processing, i.e. from the forest to all intermediate stages of production, up to the delivery of the final product to consumers, ensuring that raw materials have been used in accordance with the requirements of the standard.

FSC® Certification

FSC® certification ensures that FSC-labelled products come from responsibly managed forests, controlled sources, recycled materials or a combination of these.

Process of using the FSC® label on paper bags

If the customer requests the use of FSC® certified paper, the relevant icon on the bags is used. The bag design (mock-up) is transferred to FSC® for registration. The process of using FSC® certified raw materials according to FSC® standards affects the production time of the bags and minimally affects the cost of the bags.
